Who is McCormack-Daniel's?

Since our beginning in 1929, with the name McCormack‑Payton Storage & Moving Company, we have been based on a foundation of quality service. With origins in Kansas City, Missouri, McCormack‑Payton started out as a small local moving company. In 1947, along with ten other selected moving and storage companies, McCormack‑Payton helped form what was known as Atlas Van Service. Now based in Evansville, Indiana, Atlas Van Lines has a network of more than 400 affiliated domestic agents with offices in the all fifty states.

In early 1986, McCormack‑Payton Storage & Moving Companies of Wichita began operations as an Atlas agent and a branch office to the Kansas City operations. Our Wichita facility has over 14,000 square feet, devoted to containerized storage and general offices with an on‑site 70’ platform scale for weighing all shipments.

McCormack‑Payton Storage and Moving Company has won numerous quality awards from Atlas Van Lines. From 1996 through 2007 we have been awarded the prestigious Milton M. Hill Quality Service Award or the World Class Commitment Award.  These awards represent a commendation of the highest level to all our departments including our drivers, operations, sales and management.

Other awards include:
Hauling Excellence Award - The Hauling Excellence Award is a significant compliment to our Operations Department and to our drivers.  The cumulative records of all our drivers, not just a select few, determine this award.  The Hauling Excellence Award is earned by the top performing agents, as determined by their customers’ evaluations.

Sales Achievement Award/ Canadian Cross Border Traffic Award

In 1993, Atlas Van Lines instituted a quality control program entitled World Class Commitment. The program defines a set of standards with which all Atlas agents must comply. We consider it essential that we are in compliance and we monitor our rating closely to insure that we always exceed these standards as well as our customer’s expectations. We have won this award consecutively since 1993. 

In 2007 we became part of the Daniel’s Moving & Storage group and proudly now service as McCormack-Daniel’s Moving & Storage, Inc. /Atlas, with offices in the cities of Phoenix, AZ, Tucson, AZ, Wichita, KS, Grandview, MO and Little Rock, AK.
